Hi, I’m James Miller.  I’m a software developer, IT consultant, and videographer.  I started this site several years ago as my little space on the Internet.  I own JK Tech, LLC, which encompasses the three fields above and focuses on Rails training and consulting, IT consulting (San Diego, CA or remotely), and corporate event videography.

Software Development

At this point, I develop pretty much everything with Rails.  It’s fun, rewarding, and challenging at the same time.  My open source projects are viewable on GitHub, feel free to contact me with any questions about them or my consulting availability.

Personal

I live with my wife in San Diego, CA.  You can follow me on Twitter or Facebook, and clearly you’ve already found my personal blog at Bensie.com.  I love music – both playing the piano/guitar and listening to my favorite bands, I love to read (mainly programming books and others that I can learn something new), and I love good food.

I have a B.A. in Global Studies from UC Santa Barbara and am CCNA certified.
